I enjoy a truly fine dining experience topped off with a visually stunning flambé dessert.

I have had my share of eyebrow singeing, table side prepared delights.

In Houston, there are so many fantastic restaurants that offer flambé experiences, so there is no way I have experienced them all in the last 22 years of living here.  I do have a short list of must experience desserts but I also need your recommendations.  Please let me know your top three!  I will post them.

Here is my short list:

#1.  Mont Blanc a la Frisc @ Perry’s RestaurantsVanilla ice cream served on a homemade sponge cake with freshly cut strawberries, topped with a flambéed Belgium white chocolate sauce prepared tableside with Bailey’s Irish Cream.”

This is my absolute favorite in Houston.  I can only eat a bite but I have never seen any leave the table. Try it, but get a spoon for everyone dining with you.

#2. Nutty d´Angelo @ Perry’s Restaurants -”Crushed pecans flambéed with brown sugar and brandy, served over vanilla ice cream, dipped in white chocolate and toasted almonds.”

I really, really like this dessert as much as #1.  Shame it is at the same restaurant, but it is what it is. Perry’s has the magic touch.

#3.  Bananas Foster Flambé @ Eddie V’s – A new comer in the Houston Restaurant scene, Eddie V’s spin on an old favorite get’s my vote for taste and presentation.

I will be heading to Brennans to try theirs because I was told it should be on top of my list.  Anyone have other suggestions, let me hear from you.

OH, before I go, almost as good as a dessert is the famous Saganaki at Bakkhus Greek restaurant in Kemah.
